Product Description

Questar III’s Therapeutic Youth Program (TYP) serves students who have mental health disabilities which interfere with school success. Students work towards achieving a Regents diploma in a highly supportive environment. Clinical staff provide both counseling and assistance to families in making appropriate connections to community mental health services. TYP includes: child psychiatric consultation, social work and psychology support, behavior specialist consultation, physical education or adaptive physical education, access as needed to crisis intervention, and transition planning services.

Note: TYP classes are 6 students per 1 teacher and 1 teaching assistant (6:1:1). Classes are full day and run September – June with an extended year option available.

How To Add This Service

Continuing students may be enrolled in the service when submitting the Final Service Request (FSR). Subsequent to formal acceptance by the Questar III Intake Committee, new students may be enrolled in

Staff salaries and benefits plus operating lines and infrastructure expenses divided by the estimated pupil enrollment equals cost per pupil.
