Questar III’s Information Technology Service/District Technology Planning Service offers districts multiple options for technology planning. All options are based on an initial, thorough review and assessment of existing district information systems and applications, as well as strategic and technological plans. This service is the culmination of multiple resources collaborating to fulfill a districts high level technology management needs. This service is customizable to meet evolving technological requirements and enables districts to enlist expert resources to augment district resources.
- Comprehensive Service: Questar III’s Comprehensive Technology Planning Service helps districts develop a District Technology Plan in collaboration with district goals and objectives, as well as New York State learning standards.
- Project Management Service: Questar III’s Project Management Service helps districts manage their technology projects by providing project management, implementation and integration services at the wide area network (WAN), local area network (LAN) and desktop levels. Special attention and focus helps districts develop internal support for using information technology as a way to enrich instructional opportunities.
- Universal Service Planning: Questar III’s Universal Planning Service is for those school districts that need to modify their District Technology Plans to address government requirements. With the Universal Service Planning option, districts amend plans to reflect Federal Communications Commission, U.S. Department of Education, New York State Department of Education and the New York State Public Service Commission requirements, as they relate to the Universal Service Discount structure, also known as “E–rate”.
Questar III’s technological skill set is ever evolving to meet internal and external customer needs. The technology department staff is being continuously trained and exposed to the new evolving technologies and trends. Cost for this service will be calculated based upon resources required and requirements communicated. A scope of work will be created and agreed upon prior to any commitments.
