Program Description

Recognized as the most widely purchased BOCES service in New York State, Questar III's State Aid and Financial Planning Service 1 has successfully worked with New York State school districts for more than 40 years. A proven and invaluable resource to school administrators and boards of education, Questar III's team of dedicated, certified staff provide a number of timely services that assist district officials to understand, apply for, and maximize state aid. Specialists proudly serve 650 school districts and all 32 BOCES on an individual basis with a wide array of issues ranging from orientation of new administrative staff to unique financial concerns.

Questar III's State Aid and Financial Planning Service include:

  • state aid planning hotline (518.477.2635);
  • state aid projections for the next fiscal year;
  • publications;
  • legislative updates;
  • website;
  • email listserv and social media to rapidly disseminate critical information and late breaking news;
  • in-person consultations;
  • services on request, such as assistance with reporting and claiming aid for students with disabilities, state aid analysis, expenditure comparison, reporting for capital construction projects, etc.;

  • Cost Methodology: Additional per diem services: Varies by project, call for quote, Base Service: $3,220 per district
  • Additional Services: Additional technical assistance and support is available on a per diem basis.
