Program Description

Questar III's 6:1:2 with Career Studies program serves special education students who require individualized assistance in reaching their academic and social milestones. At the career-tech center students explore various career options which are listed in the course offering catalog. The 6:1:1 with Career Studies program includes child psychiatric consultation, social work support, behavior specialist consultation, physical education or adaptive physical education, transition planning services, and access to psychology support. It is a full day program for students in grades 10 - 12 with half day devoted to career studies and half day devoted to academics. The academic program is comprised of six students, one teacher and one teaching assistant (6:1:2). The Career Studies classes are 12 students per 1 teacher (12:1). Note: Questar III's classroom programs are full day and run September through June.
