Product Description

Questar III’s Pre-kindergarten Program provides comprehensive child development services to classes of 16 children during the school year. Targeted toward children from lower-income families or experiencing risk factors, the program follows New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations for pre-kindergarten programs. It is partially funded by a NYSED grant.

Note: Limited grant funding allows the program to be operated in only three districts. Qualifying districts may enroll in the program when a district currently enrolled in the program drops the service.

How To Add This Service

Enroll in the service when submitting the year’s Final Service Request or join the service later by submitting a FSR amendment. All documentation as required by the Intake Committee must be submitted.
Cost Methodology

While the program’s cost is largely funded through the NYSED grant, local share must provide for staff salaries and benefits not covered by the grant.
Additional Services

Experienced pre-kindergarten professionals work with district staff to transition students into the kindergarten program.
