Program Description

This service provides a certified, part-time librarian for requesting member districts. The school librarian will manage the needs of the library, collaborate with teachers, and work with students to provide inquiry based learning opportunities.

• How To Add This Service: Enroll in the service when submitting the Final Service Request (FSR) or join the service later by submitting an FSR amendment.
• Cost Methodology: Cost is determined by the number of hours purchased based on staff salaries and benefits plus operating lines and a share of the infrastructure cost.
• Additional Services: Questar III staff will post the position, recruit, appoint, and orient the individual to the position. In addition, BOCES staff will supervise and evaluate the librarian with the input of the building
