Product Description
Questar III’s Backflow Prevention Survey and Inspection (BPSI) Service involves two components: Backflow Prevention survey for required devices and the annual inspection and test of cross control devices as required by NYSDOH and local municipalities.
The Backflow Prevention Facility Survey provides school districts with an onsite assessment of existing water systems and where cross control devices may be required. A written report will be provided with recommendations of any systems that are lacking the required protection per NYSDOH standards.
The Backflow Prevention Device Testing Service provides an inspection of existing backflow devices and annual testing by a NYS certified backflow tester. The testing ensures the required devices provide the required protection to prevent cross contamination between systems and the potable water supply for the facility.
Cost Methodology
Backflow Prevention Facility Survey – Facility will be surveyed for required devices per NYS Dept of Health regulations: Rate -$95.00 per hour
Backflow Prevention Device Testing Service – Annual testing fee per device: $100.00
Any failure of a device will require a retest of the device per NYSDOH regulation. The above fee schedule will be utilized.
